Childcare

Has anyone applied for the 30 hours for their child yet ? Can we apply this early? Does anyone have a link i remember I had to apply last year for the 15 hours I can't remember where I did it online it just shows for the working 30 hours but I'm looking for the normal 30 hours you get when your child turns 3 ? Thanks x

I was told by my friend whose girls turned three this year, that you can't apply till after your child actually turns three

You can apply for 30 hours free childcare in England when your child is 2 years and 36 weeks old. The recommended time to apply depends on when your child's birthday is: September 1–December 31: Apply between October 15 and November 30 January 1–March 31: Apply between January 15 and February 28 April 1–August 31: Apply between June 15 and July 31  That's the guidance I've found on it when I checked before. I think if you're on the 15 then you automatically move to the 30?! But I'm not 100%

30 hours for 3 year olds is only for working parents. Or it's 15 for non working parents. You may get it if one person is working but there's certain criteria

@Emma thank you do you have a link ? X The nursery manager said ill be sent a code but then im thinking when I applied for the 2 year funding I applied first then got the code when it was closer to his birthday

I think when you reconfirm it does it then.

When you reconfirm your 15 hours then it will automatically change to 30 hours. You don’t need to apply again. Just check when your confirmation period is.
