Early scans

So I measured at 6+2 weeks at a private scan on Sunday and have had a scan this morning at EPU and measured 6+3, I saw everything and baby’s heartbeat but they also found a small haemorrhage around the gestational sac which is obviously causing all of my bleeding and pains. I’m just in a constant panic and worry with this pregnancy, coming up to next week I will have known about it for a whole month, and I’m still only measuring just over 6 weeks 😭 something is telling me this isn’t going to end the way I want. Anybody else experiencing/experienced this before?

Firstly at this stage it is quite difficult for the sonographers to measure accurately. One person can differ from another. Unfortunately it's time will tell. If you continue to have scans and not much change happens in size, then your worst fears happen 😞 My last pregnancy had this happen. It was horrible, I had around 5 scans in total, and the growth wasn't in line with my dates. But her heartbeat also started to slow, so by the end it was obvious I had miscarried again. She was sent to Oxford for testing and came back with T16 incompatible with life. However this is just my experience, I'm sure there are other people who have gone on to have a normal pregnancy and it was just down to the bubba being so small its difficult to measure. @Sophia oh im so sorry you went through that and the other miscarriages 💕 How far along were you this time then if you knew the gender if you don’t mind me asking? Yes, just a waiting game, I have another scan on the 4th of January but got my first midwife app on the 27th of this month. X

I was 12 weeks. I was told there gender when they did the chromosome tests. Unfortunately that was my 4th miscarriage since my daughter. I'm realllyyyyy hoping this pregnancy doesn't follow suit. Hopefully, it's not the case for you. I do know women who had bleeds around the sack but went on to have their bubbas too. Good luck with your upcoming appointments xx

Thank you. I've asked to start from 8 weeks so I have xmas & new year without the worry. As you have experienced, its horrible. I'd rather be in ignorant bliss first a couple of weeks ha. I'll then end up having scans every 1-2 weeks until 14 weeks. Hopefully 5th time is the charm. When's your next scan? Xx

I’ve got everything crossed for you! I’m just kind of trying to get through Christmas without really thinking of it too, I had my first full day of no bleeding yesterday since finding out I was pregnant a month ago so I’m feeling hopeful 🤞 my next scan is the 4th of Jan, I’m going to be having my booking appointment with the midwife before that xx
