I could have written this myself, actually I have just wrote a very similar post on this page! I absolutely hate meal times at the moment, she has become so fussy when before age so well! No advice here but just to say you’re not alone! I usually cry after meal times and feel like we’re wasting food/time cooking!
This could definitely be a developmental age thing, but it is also very common with teething!
@Tia that’s how I feel it makes me really emotional. I always compare what she eats now to what she ate before and it seems like nothing and I just hate it
Well fast forward to now and I can’t even get fruit down her so baby porridge and yoghurts is all she seems to be taking and even then I have to coax her into taking it because she won’t have it willingly. She just seems to have no interest in eating. Yesterday she ate 2 bowls of baby porridge all day😭 but she appears to be teething and coming down with her second ear infection in 2 weeks so maybe could be that she’s off her food with her being unwell? Usually being unwell doesn’t put her off she just eats a little less but I just don’t know
my baby girl is exactly the same and has been for a matter of months now! she is a very picky eater now (never was before) and really struggles to try new things, most things end up on the floor! i can completely relate to you feeling stressed! we just want our babies to eat. the only advice i can offer is always offer a safe food that you know she enjoys alongside her meals, and try not to offer a lot of different things at once as this can overwhelm them and can make them refuse the meal altogether. you can try serving the same thing but cut up differently as it can make it more exciting, or one tip from my HV is try serving bits of food in silicone ice moulds as this acts as almost a fun game for them to try and get the food out, and this can encourage them to then eat if they associate dinner with being fun! sorry i can’t be much help & hopefully this phase won’t last long!❤️
