Question for cosmetologists

My mom dyes my hair for me and a while ago I bleached my ends but for some reason they're still not growing out even after cutting half my hair off. I keep telling her I need to darker filler so the dye will last longer but she gave me an 8 and 9 level filler which seems counterproductive to me. Yeah it'll help the dye be less patchy but it won't help the dark dye stay dark for very long. Am I right for thinking this? Or is she right that it doesn't matter what level filler is used?

Dark doesn’t stay dark for very long either way. That’s why you get touch ups. 💕

@Leigh that's true, but it does help extend the longevity of the dye

Wait so You bleached the ends You cut half your hair off But your ends are magically still blonde? I don't get it

@Ella it was more of a baylage type thing lmao I don't know why i said just my ends 😅 it was pretty far up

Even if she uses darker level , it will still fade out of the blond parts faster because the curticals are open from the lightener. She can put a gloss over top after dying it to help it last longer. But unfortunately that’s about all you can do. She is right that the level doesn’t matter necessarily
