I've only ever seen tip jars in small usually independent businesses. Tipping is very much optional
No
They have them in lots of places like delis and bakeries/ coffee shops etc. but not generally in restaurants x
The two restaurants I have worked in we wasn’t allowed to accept tips
I’ve seen them mostly in cafes/small businesses, they’re not a restaurant thing really
Tipping is optional but it’s also common in smaller businesses that are privately owned- have worked at a couple places as a waitress and at all places tips were very match appreciated one of the places were high end restaurant with private rooms that did dinners and evens , and they also did weddings a simple meal for two there would cost around 200-300 and this is with only getting the cheapest things on the menus .
