Is bar music too loud for baby?

I have a birthday brunch tomorrow for my best friend and my baby sitter fell through. I was just wondering if the noise will be too loud for my 5 month old. I haven’t been to this place before but I believe there might be a DJ.

Probably. But you can always buy noise suppressant headphones. I got them for my baby during the 4th of July

If you really wanted to go you could get baby ear muffs. I imagine brunch wouldn't be very loud tho

I downloaded the Decibel X app. It’s free to just turn on and listen to what’s going on around you. I think it’s $ to listen when you’re not using or for longer periods. Then you can at least know if the volume is safe without headphones.

We went to wedding with live music in the hall when my boy was 3month old. He was sleeping there with all the music 🙂

I don’t think it’s appropriate to bring a baby to a bar. And DJs are loud. I would honestly sit this one out

@Monét it’s a brunch restaurant, but I believe they will have music. I won’t be drinking regardless I’m breast feeding

If it’s a bar during the day it’s loud but people still need to chat and be able to hear each other. My church services are loud it’s like an actual concert, I can’t imagine it’ll be louder than that. Sometimes it’s just a singer in the corner with like a guitarist. Depends on the day, on the bar. But I would take my baby if I had no one to babysit (it’s usually hubby though) My baby sleeps through the noise but I take him out a lot and he got used to it

I took my oldest son to an 18th birthday party when he was a baby. Lights, dj everything. The plan was only to stay for an hour but he slept through the whole thing 😂

I would take the baby, mine actual sleeps better in that noise environment. Just sit the furthest you can from any speakers x
