My son was the exact same way. Have you signed him up for early intervention?
@Reeta no I'm hoping he gets through the next few months and starts yacking away 🙂🥰
It's definitely possible 🥰
mine is same as @Emily , he just turned 2 last November and he can say maybe 20 words. then after a month i think it double i lost count. and now can for 2 words in a span of a month. i was also worried before and have already got in touch with SLP, but we havent really started yet. so maybe just wait for a few months.

My eldest is quite similar, when he just turned 2 he could say maybe 20 words consistently which worried us as apparently they are supposed to have 50-100 words by 2 years old. He babbled a lot still too especially playing with his toys. 2 words he did not say at this point which added to our concern were Mum and Dad. Likey yours, he was meeting if not exceeding every other milestone for motor skills, problem solving, social skills etc. At his Health Visitor review she wasn't concerned as everything he did say you could understand and it was also clear he understood most of what we said to him. I also spoke to nursery and they said that with the exception of 2 children who spoke a great deal he was at the same level as everyone else. 4 months later he is saying an awful lot more! They all develop in their own time but if you are concerned then reach out for help. X
