She itches straight away after drinking or eating

We have noticed our daughter itches her eczema on her chest or arm whenever we offer her either a drink of water or any food. She does not do this when offering her a bottle though. It’s obviously not an immediate allergic reaction because she isn’t allergic to water! I am guessing it’s some kind of habit but she is only 9 months old. Has anyone else had this with their child? It’s obviously making weening stressful and she does not drink enough water as it is so it’s making that feel stressful too! Thanks all

Does she dribble and get food on her skin? My little boy gets itchy when his skin has direct contact. Especially water under his chin and food on his wrist area.

My boy frantically rubs his face and pulls his ear when eating most things, it’s so stressful and I’m always thinking he’s having a reaction 😣 I figure it’s just the feeling of food/drink on his face making him itchy - or even the plastic bibs making him hot
