I am using the spectra this go around as well for pumping. Also, no I've told me any of this the first go around. I had a "lactation consultant" that I didn't get to see until I was already struggling with my production, but it's currently important to stay hydrated while you're breastfeeding, being dehydrated can cause you milk supply to go down drastically. Whether you have small or large breast, get a lady bug shaped hakka instead of the big bottle looking ones. The big ones tend to fall off and then you've lost all of your let down. The ladybug tends to stay on better while you're breast feeding and I would recommend going ahead and getting now shields now. Not everyone needs them, but it is definitely better to have them and not need them then need them, because baby won't latch, and not have them. Hope this helps
Nipple shields not now shields
I used spectra with my first baby as ended up nearly exclusively pumping! Will use again this time and looking at a handsfree like pippeta!
