Snacks

Anyone else’s toddler snack throughout the day like there’s no tomorrow and refuse to eat their lunch/dinner? I need to limit the snacks. Can anyone give me suggestions on healthy/more filling snacks? My little boy will break up from nursery for Christmas this Friday and I don’t want him to just snack and not eat properly.. He used to love his fruit I.e blueberries/strawberries. Now I’m lucky if he manages half an apple.. Help please, any ideas😫

Man I feel ur pain! They love the snacks right now! I've ended up just saying no to more than 2 snacks between meals otherwise he literally won't eat anything nutritious all day! And brought lunch forward to 11.30! 😬 good luck! Xxx (sorry I have no nutritious snacks ideas for u...apart from sometimes I let him put sprinkles or something on his fruit and he's slightly more keen to eat it then!)

Banana oats and peanut butter muffins are a hit in our house. I find a lot of snacks ideas from Instagram

Carrot and cucumber sticks, you can make fruit ice cream, just blend frozen fruit and milk don't add anything else, homemade biscuits, you can make them with veggies but will look like normal biscuits. But in general for snacks I have the rule "you want to eat it's ok but you need to seat at the table with a plate and don't stand until you finish " no eating around the house or while playing. If you don't want to do it then you are not hungry. Also my son is a copycat so if he sees me eating a banana will want a banana so I try to eat healthy snacks myself just for that

@Kath have you got the recipe for this? My son loves peanut butter so I reckon this will be a good idea

@Jo I might give the sprinkles a go to see if it’ll encourage him to eat some fruit!
