NHS dentists

I hate to admit this as it's quite embarrassing but I haven't been to the dentist for about 9 years. I haven't been able to get an nhs dentist since our practice changed hands. Obviously I'm in need of a checkup and probably treatment of some sort already but I gave birth 4 weeks ago and definitely feel like I need to see a dentists soon. I'm based in Omagh, so would ideally like one in a 45 min radius but willing to travel further afield. Where is taking on nhs patients?

You can google dentists around you and phone up to ask re NHS. Also treatment is free for some time after giving birth, not sure how long for. Must check with them

@Zhana I've been phoning most of the ones around me every 4/6 weeks for the last year and not much luck. I don't really have time to be phoning every dentist in surrounding counties on top so just seeing if anyone knows of any

:( didn't realise you had no joy phoning. Mine is in Belfast but about to go private so I'll be moving myself. Heard of a good one In Saintfield but it's far for you.

I'm with one in Dromore, Co. Down. They're a private practice but they let me join while pregnant as an NHS patient, that was about two years ago and I'm now pregnant again and being seen again for free until the baby turns one year old. It might be worth trying a few private dentists in your area and seeing if anyone is willing to take you on as a pregnant NHS patient?
