Postpartum pain - how long 🙃

Delivered last Wednesday 12/11, a healthy beautiful baby girl! First baby and I was in active labor for around 6 hours, pushed unmedicated at first … then later, got the epidural (which almost didn’t happen, but thank GOD)… and pushed for around a total 5-6 hours. Delivered and had a 2nd degree tear (that I barely felt tbh). But all the pain was so worth it, meeting our daughter. <3 I know I’m only a few days postpartum and trying to be patient with the healing process. The bleeding down there kind of stopped after day 2 and then started up again day 4… doing all the recovery things, & practically living off of Ibuprofen… but how long will this continue? 🙃 what’s everyone’s postpartum recovery tips? (For those who had a vaginal birth) How long did you continue to bleed + ache after? How did ya’ll survive lol this is insane.

following- had my baby on the 7th i never thought postpartum was this bad…

I gave birth on 12/03 in labor for over 40 hours (I was induced but progressed super slowly), pushed for 2 hours, got an epidural and had a 2nd degree tear. Almost 2 weeks postpartum and I’m finally starting to not have pain! I don’t take pain meds anymore I just try to take it easy, if I do too much I’ll start to feel a little sore again and bleeding is starting to slow down a lot its more pink than red. I would take one Tylenol and one ibuprofen every 4-6 as per the hospitals instructions and ice was my best friend! I bought the Frida mom instant ice pads and they were amazing. You could also take regular pads and freeze them. Definitely take it easy and make sure you rest! I wasn’t great at that the first week and caused myself to bleed more, pass large clots and caused more pain

I had my second baby on 12/6 to a healthy baby boy. I had a vaginal birth with no tear, stitches or epidural. I was just mainly in pain due to them pressing on my tummy a lot due to me losing a lot of blood after I gave birth. They had to insert the ballon thing inside of me, ect,. I stayed in the hospital for 1 night and they gave me all the pain medication I needed. When I went home (home now), my grandma provided me everything for an afterbirth cultural home remedies. I feel more in pain this time around with this pregnancy/postpartum. But so far, it’s going good. With my first, I was induced (high blood pressure + preeclampsia). I had a minor tear, couple stitches and no epidural. I also did the afterbirth cultural home remedies as well. I had less pain than I did with my second. I’m still bleeding here and there and still aching .

Thanks everyone! Pls @s a r a 🥀 do share some of these cultural home remedies if you have!

with my first i pushed for 3.5 hours and had a bad tear. you turn a corner at about the two week mark. hang in there!

My baby also came 12/11 congratulations 🎉 I my bleeding was brown like 2 days ago and went back to kind of heavier or at least more blood because it seemed like it was going away I haven’t been lifting heavy or anything but they say stress can cause more bleeding or overdoing yourself also my pain was going away too but is now back sadly I’m also surviving off ibuprofen but this is my second baby and they said the postpartum pain gets worse with every baby sadly hope you feel better I’d say get in a hot bath no soap or salts ofc and drink tea that’s been helping with the pain and also hot packs on the stomach
