Did you get in trouble for not reporting that you door dashed while on tanf/snap? I want to try it while still getting benefits since I cook and feed me, my son and my two teen brothers. I can't claim them bc I live under the same roof as my mom.
You can make an amount before you need to report it. Be careful to report as soon as you meet that amount (it depends of size of household so you would have to look it up) Also be aware that doordash doesn't withhold taxes and it counts as running your own business so if you do it long term that will need to be reported and have taxes paid come tax time.
But you should be able to try it and see if it works for you.
As a side note.
If you should not be providing food for the teens if you can't claim them. If your mom needs help she can apply for food stamps, you can still cook but it shouldn't all fall on you when that stipend is just for you and your kid.
@Emily thank you!
And I wish I could just use my my stamps for just me and my son, it would make things easier but if I don't feed my brothers then they will never eat. My mom has her priorities wrong right now:/
