What Would You Do?

If you knew someone and all of a sudden they realize that their kid (6y) is peeing in cups and on toys instead of using the toilets (probably going for awhile but thats another issue in itself) and they ground them for doing so, what would you do? What does that sound like to you? I also want to add that this mom recently went back to work. The kid is being taken care of by her step dad that doesn't really like her bc she isn't her kid. Would you think she's being abused? Would you write a complaint? Would you leave it and see if it gets better now that the kid has been "caught"?
