Potty training out and about

So my little girl is potty training, at home doesn’t have any accidents goes straight on her potty I’m just struggling out and about as she can’t go in her nappy she holds it and no where has toilets. Is a “carry potty” worth it if so how are we doing this just then and there we were out all day today and she used the staff toilets but not everywhere allows that I just never want her to end up with an infection from holding it and I don’t want to go backwards from where we are and she’s smashed it I just am unsure on how to approach it going out as I feel as if we’re missing out on things due to not having a toilet accessible all the time

Most places should have toilets, even some shops that don’t have them will always allow kids to use staff toilets you just have to ask. I would say if you’re going places there’s no toilets often then you’ll need to get a carry potty and be able to take her somewhere private to use it. Not sure what sort of places you’re going though as anywhere I’ve been has had toilets unless in a field or somewhere walking x

Can you plan on stops at places with toilets ? Anywhere that serves drinks to consume on the premises legally have to have a toilet in the uk, so cafes, shops, petrol stations and most supermarkets. If you’re walking in forests, “wild wees” is a skill to be taught too.

We have a carry potty- very useful… but I would plan for toilet stops wherever we went in the beginning, so toilet before we left the house, toilet in cafe or supermarket etc

I carry a potty in the car and get my daughter to use it before we leave the car. If we’re in a shopping centre we’re never too far away from a toilet. They get better at telling you when they need one/holding it as time goes on, but I always just make sure I’ve got spare trousers and pants in case. On a walk I just take the potty with us in the bottom of the pram
