Yes they can,
Mine always has at the general, but only because I have health issues and having him there eases the midwife's job if I need help, I always have to jump through a lot of hoops with perinatal to get it, but after 3 kids and this being my fourth, hes always stayed overnight.
I gave birth there in April and my partner wasn’t allowed had to leave at midnight x
Only allowed to stay 24/7 when you’re in the birthing suite. Once you’re moved to the ward it’s visiting hours only.
I thought they changed the rules or will be changing it in leicester and partners will be allowed to stay overnight?
My husband still won’t be staying overnight if I have to stay in. I had to stay in 5 days with my first. The hospital was awful to sleep (and he wouldn’t even have a bed) the other women were so inconsiderate and the nurses do vitals throughout the night and it’s better for one of us to get a better night sleep. With my first he would come in and I could nap in the day.
It’s literally just changed recently and they can stay which is amazing.. would have honestly changed my experience completely if it was this way last year!
No - They get kicked out at midnight and back in at 9 I think it is
