@Fearn isn’t it awful there isn’t anymore they can give our baby’s and say to just leave it?? Crazy! I’m bottle feeding, what about you?
@Sophie It is indeed! Although with them being so young they don’t like to give them medication that’s too harsh and absorbed by the body. Medication like nystatin and miconazol doesn’t enter the bloodstream and is localised to what it’s supposed to treat. Which I totally understand, but then the issue is still there! It’s such an uphill battle, I was so stressed with it. I breastfeed, so I made sure to change breast pads frequently, wiped down with warm water after every feed and made sure I was washing everything on a hot wash. With bottles/dummies I’d personally wash your steriliser with hot soapy water after every use before sterilising your bottles and see if it starts to clear up within a few days. Sending so many healing vibes to you and your little one ✨
We had the same problem with our little one a month or two ago! My GP told me to keep using Nystatin but it was doing nothing. I called 111 for advice and an out of hours doctor prescribed Fluconazole, again, it was doing nothing, so I literally stopped giving him all medication and it cleared up on its own after a few days ☺️ Are you breastfeeding or formula feeding?
