Teat size

For those of you using MAM bottles, what teat size do you use with your 6 weeks old baby? I'm using size 0 and my lo doesn't take excessively long to drink however he seems to work so hard to get the milk and falls asleep after half a bottle or so. Just wondering if I should go up to size 1? Will this make him take more air? As already suffering quite a bit with gas

I actually never realised we had a size 0 so my 3 week old has been using a 1 since birth 🫣🫣

@Scarlet 🤍 me too 🙈

@Zoe I thought 1 was the starter 😂😂 I was thinking of trying 2 as I’ve seen people post about swapping!!

I’ve switched my 4 week old from a 0 to a 1 this week and she’s better :) … she only has one bottle of expressed milk a day and other than that she’s BF but the teat change was needed x

Size 0 still but my boy is 4 weeks old. I reckon I'll stay on this size for awhile because he tries to drink his milk way too fast and ends up getting hiccups.

I started off on size 1 and my boy has been on size 2 since 3 weeks as be want drinking a whole bottle but does now

My LO didn’t get on with size 0 so was on 1’s from a few days old. We’ve moved on to size 2 in the last few days and it’s really helped to lessen her reflux as she’s no longer falling asleep at the bottle and sucking in air when she’s really hungry (she’s 5 weeks old). Every baby is different though!

My little boy is 6 weeks old and still on size 0 x

My baby is 6 weeks and we changed to size 1 last week She seems more comfortable with this one It was taking her a long time to finish a feed and she usually fell asleep half way with size 0

We have always been on size 1 too, I would definitely look to size up though if he is falling asleep & working harder. It may take a bit of time for him to adjust so maybe just keep him up a bit more when feeding x

My girl is 5 weeks and still on size 0. We tried moving up to 1 last week but she would finish the bottle so fast and milk would dribble down her chin so moved back to 0 for now
