Potty training

We are 8 days into potty training and my daughter is doing amazing. Only had 3 accidents and goes by herself and doesn't have to be reminded/asked to go. However I'm concerned with the frequency of use. We had a family member visit and said she was using the toilet a lot (I hadn't noticed as I was more concerned with her kowing the feeling of needing to go and getting to the toilet on time) but not sure what is too much or too few. How often is your child using the potty when first learning?

When my girl first started she would go often but now she doesn’t unless at my parents house as she’s more excited using the toilet and washing her hands all the time 🤣🤣

@Lorraine thank you, my daughter is very excited about using the potty and telling us when she has done a wee on there so maybe it's just that.

Welcome. Yes it’s a big achievement for them so they get super excited about it, my girl still does now and it’s been months lol 😂 xx

@Lorraine I hadn't even thought of that so I'm glad I asked as everything I'd googled either said toddlers weren't going enough or it was a sign of diabetes so I was getting worried. If it continues will take her to the doctors but hopefully I'm stressing for no reason and she did have a few drinks yesterday so gain might just be that. Thanks again.

My little boy went loads to start with, I think it's just as they are used to going whenever they want with a nappy on so never hold it. It gradually got longer between going
