I’ve been pouring boiling water over the inside of the lid as a way of sterilising. How do you do it?

I sterilise mine once a week though we use the hotshot method! A friend of mine used to make the feed in it and just washed it 🥲 she never sterilised it she didn’t realise she had to 🤣🤣 and her baby is 1 and just fine!

We only ever do the hot shot method, so never actually put formula in there so haven't needed to
I do a quick wash with fairy liquid on the inside and take the rubber ring out to wash aswell and then pour boiling water on to wash off x

It needs to boil for 5 mins to be sterile. I chuck mine in the Milton cold water steriliser
