Okay thank you for the advise ill see how he goes over the next day or 2 ! Aww poor boy it's awful seeing them like this isn't it and having to put them through these tests ! Wish I could just take it away from him xx
Oh absolutely. I hated it both times and had a bit of a mental breakdown moment infront of his dietician and she was lovely bless her and just said that she’s putting on his care plan to wait until 2 to let his body mature a bit before we try again. She did so that some children don’t start seeing success until ages 3-5 which took a massive load off me as I was panicking thinking this was the end and a forever allergy and just couldn’t get over thinking about how he’ll never be able to have a proper Yorkshire pudding at Xmas 😂😅 Just take it as it comes and remember that you know your LO best so if you don’t think he’s tolerating it then just stop and hold off for a while 💛 fingers crossed for you all xx
I would say it’s a reaction but I’d note it down somewhere, stating how much he had and what the reaction was. I’d be tempted to go a couple (1-2) more days just to see as even as an adult, if I don’t have dairy for a few days and then have a bowl of cereal, I definitely flare up a little with my eczema and tummy issues but usually resolves very quickly and as long as I try and keep it in my diet at least once a day, I tend to not react - I’m lactose intolerant. My son failed miserably both times with the dairy ladder so I’m not trying him again before he turns 2 (he’s 18 months now). On the last try, he had awful diarrhoea but the doctor said to persevere as it is hard to digest and that we should expect some reaction with it. However he ended up with blood and mucus in it, alongside hives, eczema, swelling of his eyelids and vomiting…so I decided to stop. Xx
