Thank you. Sounds the same as me with the colic and reflux! My baby was born 3 weeks early, I got induced 3 times before having an emergency section and she got taken into special care baby unit straight away for 6 nights as she was very unwell so we were separated and unable to sleep in the same room as she was on oxygen and antibiotics, since she’s come home which is 2 weeks tomorrow I feel like she hasn’t settled but everyone around me says how content she is; even my mother who lives with us. They have put me on 50g sertaline xxx
50g of sertaline won't do much, I had this battle with the GP they wouldn't up it as they said they needed to give it chance to work, and I got worse so as soon as the perinatal team were involved they upped it right away and gave me diazipan. Wow it does sound like you have had a incredibly tough time I'm so sorry. It's great that your mum lives with you, let her help. I moved in with my mum for months as I needed the help and support xx
Firstly, I am so sorry your going through this. I had it really really bad too pretty much straight after the birth. My little one had really bad silent reflux and collic so was very unsettled. I got put on searchaline and had support from the perinatal team both really helped. What medication are you on? Have you got any support from services like the perinatal team? You are doing a brilliant job, trust me I really no how low you are, and you are still here and accepting help for you and your baby that's incredible in itself. All I will say is accept any help you can get and do not feel guilty about it. Also remember what you have is a horrific illness it's not your fault. People used to tell me this all the time and at the time it was not helpful, but I promise it does get better and easier in time. Xx
