Medicine phobia

Does anyone have any experience with a phobia of medicine? My daughter will not and has never accepted any form of oral medicine. I managed to get her take some about a year ago which resulted in instant vomiting. At the moment she has a terrible cough (she's being treated as asthma like illness) and has inhalers but these are not helping. I'm desperate for her to take some cough medicine but can't get her to do it. Any advice much appreciated x

Yep, for love or money won’t take anything. But you know, will sit nicely for an injection 🤣😭🫠🤯. 3yr old toddlers have humbled me, I pop any oral medicine in a drink of juice or milk. Not a massive cup, just enough to disguise the taste. I’m hoping one day we’ll just get over it. Hope that’s helpful, or just a comfort to know you’re not on your own! X

It's nice to know I'm not the only one 😂 I managed hiding it in milk or yoghurt until she was about 10 months.. after that she knew! Nurses in hospital once spent 4 hours trying to give her calpol.. so stubborn it's ridiculous 🙃

We did yoghurt for a while, then she knew. I find squash works best, as I make it the squash stronger to mask the taste. Glad I’m not the only one with a stubborn girl 😂🙈 x

Have you tried the sugar versions? Mine won’t take anything sugar free but the sugar ones which are harder to find she loves x
