First pregnancy

So this is my first pregnancy I have a high bmi of 47 and I’m petrified my weight is going to affect my pregnancy I’m only 5 weeks but scared that they won’t be able to see baby on scans as I carry most of my weight on my lower belly

My BMI is high and I have just had my second baby. Both pregnancies have had no issues and never had any issues having a scan. Any issues I had with a scan was because of my girls being in awkward positions. Being overweight doesn’t always mean you’ll have a bad pregnancy.

Being overweight will not affect for your scans! The only issue is if baby is in awkward position. I've been overweight all my life, and had 3 natural and trouble free pregnancies. I'm not trying for #4 at 43. Good luck

I have a BMi of 47 and have just given birth to my baby boy 💙 I had a good pregnancy with hardly any complications- sickness and nausea from beginning to end was absolutely terrible! I had many scans including growth scans and 4d scans with no problems unless the baby was being stubborn and in a terrible position!

Thanks Everyone, gave me some reassurance ❤️
