Hallucinations with fever

We are all poorly, pretty certain we have covid but as of yet tests are negative, my 3 yr old had such a high temp in the night she was hallucinating there were monsters everywhere, has this happened to anyone else's toddler before? It was terrifying

This used to happen to me as a child! It’s something I must’ve just grown out of. As far as I’m aware it was always when I had a temperature, I know I ended up being taken to hospital a few times. Sorry I can’t give any more advice, maybe ring the GP or 111. Hopefully your daughter starts feeling better soon 🤞🏻

My eldest used to do this, fevers can cause night terrors. He used to think that everything was covered in spikes 😭

My little girl has been quite poorly with a chest infection a few weeks ago and that seemed to start night terrors. She has been okay for a week or so but she had one last night and she was dripping in sweat. Got her on the potty for a wee and cool her down which brought her out of it without causing more distress. It is terrifying but isn't happening every night now she is mostly better. She normally doesn't like having her covers on but last night pulled them right up so think she got too hot which triggers the night terror 😔 x

We went to a and e last night and she tested positive for flu, we now have an extremely poorly 1 yr old sister also :(
