You dont have to do it. You already did it for a very long time. At 15 months she gets all the nutrition benefits from food and breastfeeding beyond 12 months is only encouraged if both mom and toddler want to.
I just started weaning off my 15months this week on Monday not an easier job especially at midnight but she’s accepting it gradually. I replaced the breast milk with aptamil milk for toddler and her favourite snack. Wishing you good luck with it.
omg i’m going through this rn too and it’s so hard to wean! esp because we do co sleep so he latches on in the middle of the night and i’m too tired to fight him.
What I did was every couple of weeks or even a week so the milk adjusts to make less and less by removing one feeding session and replacing with a yummy snack like yogurt, or some regular milk(whatever type ur choosing), I even did frozen milk popsicles and he didn’t even flinch, fully weaned at 17 ish months
