Ice the area before and after!

Inject into the fattiest part of your belly. And don’t hesitate - stab it like a dart. The slower you go, the more it will hurt.

It was horrible, I feel you, going slow or hesitating makes it so much worse but I really struggled mentally to make myself stab a needle into my belly every night ☹️, no advice to make it hurt less but just try to just do it without thinking or trick your brain if you can and then inject slowly and try not to single your hand as I remember how it stings 😟, hang in there x

Ice before and after, really hold it on there to numb it

I put it as close to my scar as possible as was still numb there

People that do it themselves are so brave I was in tears the first time trying to do it myself because I was so hesitant and slow so I had to get my partner to do the other days and I found that so much easier and less painful as he could do it quickly whilst I focused on my breathing

I ended up the ice trick and didn't feel a thing

Relaxxxxxx. Don’t tense up and you should barely feel it.

Do it really quickly. Grab the part you’re injecting and as soon as you put the needle in let go of the skin. I’ve been on them for 11 weeks now and they still hurt but if I hesitate they hurt more 😅

A nurse told me you shouldn’t rub it afterwards as that can cause bruising
