It does hurt a lot.

@Ana was it successful? Does it take long?

I had an ECV with my first. I had two midwives and a doctor with me (plus my husband). They also hook you up to a machine to monitor baby as they do it. They gave me gas and air, and said I could stop any time I wanted (for a break or altogether). I only lasted about 10 mins. It was quite painful for me, but what made me stop was that they said she just wasn’t moving. She was frank breech, and very comfortable apparently.

I had 3 attempts in the one session. All failed. Hmm painful..ish. I just breathed through it. They inject you with something to relax your uterus. Would I do it again....yes!

It was not successful; the doctor decided to stop after trying several times because she told me the baby was not likely to turn and he could get stressed. I don't remember how much it lasted, but you are very monitored, in a hospital gown and everything. I felt it was very medical. I'm A- blood type, so I also had to have the anti-D vaccine afterwards.

Thanks everyone
