Sounds like he's trying to dodge the question but I don't know him so maybe that's just the way he talks/types. It's possible he didn't know it was a plate at the time he cleared it up and now you've made him aware of it being missing and/or broken he's just like "Yeah, possibly"
@Alex he was dead serious 😂 he really does not remember. the second thing you mentioned is a good point. but if one of our kids had a plate, one of us gave it to them. & if it wasn’t me, it was him lol
@Ella that’s true. but i feel like a plate shattering & then having to clean it up is not something you just forget about lol
lol he probably slipped his mind but y lie ? 😂
@Yaz i don’t even think he’s lying lol i’m just like huh??
Plates go missing ALL the time here. That’s why I buy sets of 12 like if it comes with each 3 things with 4 each I’ll literally buy 3 boxes of that so I have 12 of everything- look in your fridge. Sometimes I use the plate or a bowl to put something on the then it goes into the fridge. For me it’s either in the cupboard, dishwasher, in use on the table (like w leftovers on it) or in the fridge. I asked one day where 3 bowls are and I realised I used it to put sauces in which were in the fridge 😂
plates don’t really go missing in our house. there are only 4 of us & 2 of us are toddlers lol. also, i listed the fridge as one of the first places i looked lol
Idk I forget things that aren’t significant to me very easily. It’s hard to say lol he could’ve just forgot
@Monét he definitely forgot. that’s what weird to me lol a plate shattering within the last few days seems to me like something someone would remember
Lol it does seem like something hard to forget tbh
People only remember things that are important to them. If it meant nothing to him, his brain probably immediately filed it in the Memory Dump 😂
