Name help

My partners family has a tradition where they use each others names as middle names and middle name as first name etc. if I followed this babies name would be James Stephen LN (last name). However my dad passed away at the start of this year so we want to use his name too (Christopher). We thought about having our dads names as double barrelled like my twins but not sure which sounds better.

I really don't like double barreled first names, it just seems like too much

What about one name from each side? Like Christopher James LN? Then you don’t need to double barrel the first name. They will only end up using one anyway! Or have 2 middle names.

I have a double barreled first name and speaking from experience it cuts my name off on almost all documents. In school my 2nd name was always a partial print. I recommend 2 middle names if you go that direction but Christopher James Stephen just sounds like a mouthful and doesn’t flow right.
