coccydynia/tailbone pain

Hi moms I have been struggling with coccydynia for months and now I'm worried as I'm 36 weeks close to giving birth I would like to know which birthing position/s is/are suitable for someone struggling with coccydynia to avoid chronic injury?

I didn't have tailbone pain during pregnancy but I must have bruised it bad during delivery. I am still recovering after 11 weeks. That said, I do not recommend delivering on your back. I am still angry with myself for not being more assertive with my midwife that I didn't want to be in my back but it was my first time and I just followed her lead. My birthing class suggested hands and knees with ankles spread wider than your knees is a good position to open your pelvis and give most room for baby to come out. Good luck and go with your gut! Your got this, Mama ❤️

@Hannah Thank you

I also have tail bone pain and the pain is too much i don’t even get to sit properly anymore cause all i worry about is if my sitting position will make it worse but guess what even lying down i still get the pain 😢
