My 11 month old is saying some words and also signing alongside.
I started using makaton since he was around 4 months and he is just starting to use it now.
He can currently say: mama, dada, nana, bubble, apple, dog, cat, more, please, no.. He can do animals sounds to most simple animals too like cow, sheep, dog, cat
I'd say lots of reading, talking to your baby, showing and naming items around the house like door, lights etc
It'll happen! I'm sure you are doing all the right things anyway 😊❣️
pardon my ignorance. what's makaton
also i am so confused about reasing books. My LO snatches them and starts eating/ biting the pages 😪 how do you get them to just sit and listen
