I'm convinced this isn't normal? My 12 week old had her tongue tie cut 3 days ago, she's in absolute AGONY and has screamed alllll day today even with calpol?! They've cut her actual tongue not the skin underneath ?? I asked them 3 times after if they're sure it's done properly and he said yes.. this is a consultant..

They used scissors but they've cut her actual tongue rather than the skin between so it's all swollen now :( currently sat in a&e because she's done nothing but scream allllll dayyy xx

That is not right. Poor little love. Definitely report the tongue tie consultant to the NMC or whoever the board that regulates them is. It’s a simple procedure - it does not look like it’s been done right. Hope she’s okay x

I'm not a doctor but this is not what my sons tie release looked like. The tissue underneath could just be swollen as hell but it does look like alot. How did they do the procedure?(laser,bovie,scissors). My son was also in alot of pain on day 3 and Tylenol didn't seem to do the trick. He started liking his bottles cold instead of warm.
