@Kayla husband tells them it’s not a good time and they say we won’t stay long and come over anyway (that’s what happened recently on his bday)
If they don’t respect not coming over when you guys state it’s not a good time and if they come over while you’re sick, i personally wouldn’t open the door lol. “Sorry I was sleeping, I told you I was sick”
@Kelsie they have no social awareness it’s so stupid
and they can say “give me the baby” all they want, it’s YOUR baby. Since my baby was born, I’ve had to deal with my in-laws changing the way they are with me too. I used to be so non-confrontational but not anymore !! I mean right now we’re havin cold weather in Florida but I don’t bundle him up bc the inside of their house is warm. When we visit, they’ll take him and bundle him up when I walk away!! So i’ll go and change him again! I’ve had to put my foot down and be like “Do not change my child’s clothes without one of us knowing. He is fine. He was not cold. This is not your kid.” and they’re always saying “you should do it this way, not this way” about EVERYTHING. You just gotta put your foot down sometimes, even if you piss them off by doing it. I 100% understand alllll your frustration rn
Your house your rules! Also where does your partner stand? If you don’t want them over or your LO around them your partner should be considerate of that.
