@Gabrielle 😂🤣 Marijuana.
Oh haha. I thought you meant like a person there or something lol
Not sure about Vanderbilt specifically but I had a baby through UT Medical Center/ Women’s Care Group in Knoxville. I tested positive for THC with my urine test at my first prenatal appointment. Although I didn’t test positive for marijuana use at any other appointment during my pregnancy, a social worker visited me in the postpartum room the day I gave birth to discuss my drug use. She asked if I planned to continue to use THC products while breastfeeding and we talked for a little while. She questioned my husband as well. Doctors also did a urine drug test on my baby that day. They made sure I knew it was all because I tested positive at my first prenatal appointment. It was scary but kind of confusing with the social worker getting involved for something I thought was so minor. I initially tested positive at that first appointment because it was very early in my pregnancy and I had just moved to TN from CA where I smoked daily. Be cautious.
@Tay did u use throughout ur pregnancy or just first trimester ? and u are so pretty!!!
Thank you! I did smoke (only 1 hit each time) about 20 times throughout my pregnancy. I always made sure it was spread out and I didn’t smoke my 3rd trimester. I finally had an appetite my 3rd trimester. I was smoking to help me eat since I’d go days without a meal in my 1st and 2nd trimesters.
I was a heavy smoker when I got pregnant with my daughter. I stopped for obvious reasons. But because I was working overnights and having a girl, my morning sickness was AWFUL. I couldn’t even hold water down. Finally told my doctor smoking at the end of my first trimester and she advised to smoke only when necessary. It was around the time they started talking about arresting mothers who had thc in their system during birth, that’s why I waited to tell. However, if you aren’t having any severe morning sickness, I’d recommend to wait until after baby is here. There is a significant difference between my son and daughter. And I’m pretty sure it was the weed that did it.
@Alyssa you feel like weed effected your children's personalities?
Not necessarily their personalities but how they think and take in information. My daughter has a hard time paying attention and I usually have to tell her 15 times in different ways for her to understand what I’m saying. She’s about to be 8 and I’m still learning how to communicate in a way she specifically understands.
@Karma
Whereas my son, he is 10, I never smoked with him and he usually gets it the first time.
@Alyssa oh okay I see. Honestly, the marijuanna probably doesn't have much to do with it.. it's probably just how she is and how she learns and that is okay. I've done research to know that marijuanna doesn't effect childrens development. I'm trying to find an Instagram page that backs it up to support my claim.. Im unable to find it at the moment though
@Alyssa it's called bluntblowinmama. ❤️
What is Mary Jane?
