C section incision

I had a c section 4 days ago and so far the pain has been minimal as I’ve kept on top of my meds. For the most part I just feel bruised. However, every so often when I move to either go to the loo or just to make a coffee or just change positions sat down, I feel it burn .. like really stings. It’s not all the time but it can be quite painful. Is this normal? I still have my dressing on as it’s one of the pico vacuum sealed dressings which gets removed on day 7 but I’m so scared I’ve ripped my stitches under it.

Yes completely normal for me. I have had two and had this both times x

I have also popped my stitches with my second and I felt it pop... 🙃 😅 heal fine without intervention. X

Definitely had a similar feeling during the first few weeks of recovery and I didn't rip any stitches. I'm now 7 weeks pp and that sensation is completely gone

I’ve had the same and I’m 4 days pp getting dressing removed tomorrow and dreading it

I had the same. I read that it was nerve pain. It settles after a couple of days xx

This happened to me for about 3 weeks it was awful!! Nerve pain like others have said but keep moving as and when you can, it’ll eventually get better!! X

Thanks ladies for the comments. Good to know it’s normal. But yeah it properly burns/ stings on occasion. In my head my incision is been held together by a hair and it’s going to rip if I even fart 😂 so I’m super nervous to have my dressing off! X

I had the same and was advised by my midwife it’s normal if no sign of infection it’s ok. I’m now almost 6 months pp and completely healed up xx

The dressing coming off isn’t too bad at all! They use a spray to moisten it and I felt pretty much nothing!! Feels way better having it off!
