Pregnant within one month of miscarriage.

Hi.. so I work as a senior carer in a care home. My job role includes running about a lot and pushing heavy medication trolley. My last pregnancy which I miscarried.. I wasn’t really very careful at work and continued as normal which I think was a reason of miscarrying as the day I started bleeding I was on shift and it was a hard day. This time round I want to take it easy but my job role is full on.. Should I get a GP note for amended duties for the first 4 months of my pregnancy? Or go off sick completely ( which I can’t really afford)… would my GP be ok to do a note for me? Has anyone been through this before? What did u do or what would u do? Xx

I worked in a grocery store.. we’d throw 50lb boxes daily.. I miscarried my first, and my second stuck… I was told with my second that if your body is already used to it it really shouldn’t be a problem just don’t start doing new things. If you feel more comfortable asking for a doctors note there’s no harm in it.. I would just be extra careful going back when you’ve given your body a rest from its usual tasks. IE going on leave, and coming back. You could also ask your job if they have a job you can do while pregnant… Wishing you the best and sending love 🖤

I think it’s very very unlikely that physical activity could cause a miscarriage. It might help you to get some early scans and early bloodwork so you can actually see what’s going on. The most common reason miscarriages happen is that the genetic material didn’t come together perfectly and your little bub would be incompatible with life.
