They won’t worry about it until 36/37 Weeks. You can always try to flip them yourself with the site called spinning babies. But they also flip back and forth for a while so don’t worry too much. They plan to flip mine themselves if she doesn’t do it herself by 37.
@Kas okay cause he was head down a few weeks ago & I was worried he wouldn’t turn back now. I just don’t want a c section at all , hopefully it changes around that time!
@Gabriella I've heard that you could try 1) sitting/bouncing on a yoga ball. The correct posture can encourage movement 2) put an ice pack or something on the top of your belly, where the head is...nobody likes that 😂 3) play music down by your pelvis, because apparently a lot of them will move closer to hear it. I'm not sure if any of these work, but it couldn't hurt to try 😁
My MIL was a labor and deliver nurse for 20+ years and told me if baby was breech to try the ironing board trick which usually works. You just put your feet/ knees up higher than the rest of your body so using a stool, the couch or your bed and leaning off of it with your elbows on the ground!
@Tiffany sounds confusing I’m going to look it up so I know what you mean! Lol
@Tiffany my MFM doc just told me a horror story about an ironing board and it breaking on a lady and told me just put my butt on the couch don’t use something that could break!
@Aimee yea that’s why I suggested using something sturdier than an ironing board haha plus I feel like that’s not something a lot of people have laying around their house’s anymore.
I wouldn’t bounce on the ball you need to do figure 8 movements and back and forth movement from what I’ve been told in my previous pregnancies. They can also do a technique that turns baby. You shouldn’t have to worry about it rn you definitely have some time.
I’m close to 34 weeks and my baby isn’t head down, I’m having a c section (not due to this) so I don’t think his position matters. However, there’s still plenty of time for your baby to get head down before you give birth
@Audrey oh okay I was going to say if it’s for that reason your having a c section I’d start panicking 😂😭 I know I’m hoping it turns out different later, he wasn’t head down in beginning of my pregnancy earlier either but that might be diff cause he switched later on
My baby isn’t head down yet either. They still have lots of time to move into position. I think doctors only speak of c section if they aren’t head down by 36/37 weeks and even then there’s still a chance they can turn! Bounce on your ball if you have one as this can encourage them to go head down but I wouldn’t worry yet. Your next app baby could change! Xx
