Usually its fine if you cannot get childcare, especially if LO is still young enough to stay in a pram so they won't wander off. Sometimes it is best to let the department know if you can but not the end of the world. They are more concerned about 4-10yr olds who might kick up a stink because they are bored and won't sit still but are too big to use a pram.
I took my toddler to some midwife appointments and they were fine with it but the hospital had a policy no children allowed at scans so worth checking that
I took mine but I asked my midwife if it was okay first. She just sat in her buggy and ate a load of snacks. It’s easier if they can sit in the buggy rather than be running around because you’re getting bloods done etc.
You can, I took mine to all my appointments and scans as I didn’t have the childcare. I took him in the pushchair and sometimes he’d fall asleep. Alot of my appointments were midday so aligned with his nap time anyways x
