Worried about my son

My son is nearly 21 months. This is a non blanching rash that has came up on my sons arm where he had a rash before that gp think is eczema. The rest of the rash on his body blanches. He also keeps bruising his legs every day just under his knees which is new he never bruised before and has been off his food hardly eaten anything or drunk any milk since Tuesday. Was also sick early hours of the morning Fri. He has had a cough and runny nose for 2 weeks today. G.p said Friday they think it’s just a virus but now he has a non blanching rash since sat. Should I do anything now or take him to gp tomorrow if I can get an appointment. Has anyone else experienced this with there child?

I would do an appointment get another opinion as now a days doctors just claim everything as a “virus” now a days ❤️ we know our baby’s if they aren’t right ❤️

Interestingly my son has had a similar sounding virus this last two weeks; he had a fever for two days and rash all over his body, then a cough and runny nose. What’s worried me more has been his behaviour as he’s been extremely clingy, whiny etc, he’s had extremely long naps in the days like 3.5 hours and I’ve ended up having to wake him up for school runs etc. he’s not wanted to eat which is extremely unusual for him. He doesn’t have a non blanching rash but he has developed patches of dry skin. I’ve put it down to a nasty virus but if the behaviour continues I will be taking him to the docs. I think re the non blanching rash it’s worth getting him checked again if it doesn’t go away or if it increases in size. If dr thinks it’s eczema have you tried an emollient cream? Only suggesting this as when my son had HFM he developed patches of eczema and the pharmacist told me the virus had stripped the barrier off his skin and recommended a cream which built the barrier back up -it worked
