Treating bedtime as a nap

Is anyone else's December baby treating bedtime like a nap? Baby was going to bed at 730pm and waking up about 8am, but would always wake up after about 30 minutes but would then settle back down quickly. Now she's falling asleep for 30 mins but then awake for hours! She does seem to be trying to go down to one nap but isn't quite ready, but fitting in two means she won't go to bed until at least 10pm! Anyone faced the same and got any tips / can tell me this is temporary? 😅

My little ones bedtime is between 9;30/10 and wakes around 8:30am as he’s on two naps a day. Could you either try maybe wake her at 7:30am ? Or cap her second nap or push her bedtime slightly xxx

Same 😭 My little one used to wake up an hour after to have a milk top up and then go back to sleep, now she's waking up and wants to come play and sit in the living room with us and won't sleep no matter how much we try. Plus she acts like it's a wake window and stays up for 3 hours 🤦‍♀️ I've just been trying to get her down earlier, by treating her 2nd nap as bedtime. So she goes to bed at 5/6pm now, so when she wakes up for a long time at least it's not too late. It's hard though because she has nursery so she doesn't get enough actual night sleep and it makes her extremely grumpy as she struggles to nap at nursery

Yeah, my LO has done this on and off since she was very little. Pretty much always does the 30/40 min thing but goes back to sleep easily except when she's going through something, like learning a new skill, in which case we just bring her downstairs with us til I'm then ready for bed and she plays til then. Hopefully it's just short lived for you and goes back to normal 🙏
