BLW questions replacing bottles for meals, transitioning to sippy cups, transitioning to whole milk and trying to break the habit of moving a bottle or something to drink to sleep

hi, so long story shirt with my first child by the time he was nine months I transitioned him to whole milk and by the time he was a year he no longer drink bottles. He was only drinking two open cups or some sippy cups, and he didn’t need a bottle or anything to drink at night to go to sleep anymore. I know it sounds like much but I want to try to achieve the same thing with my six month old so he already started eating meals. He’s not eating complete meals and I haven’t started replacing like bottles for meals yet because he’s showing interest for food yes but not to the point where I feel like he will be full so like does anyone have advice for that like do I just keep replacing a bottle for a meal until he’s eating three meals a day and start giving him regular meal through sippy cups so he can get used to it like what do I do to achieve the same timeline that I did for the first one because every baby is different but I kinda wanna keep it the same and this is unknown judgment post or zone. I don’t need Google doctors to tell me what’s wrong. I don’t need doctors to tell me what to do if you don’t agree with it just don’t comment but for the mothers who agree with it I would like your advice I’m Hispanic and this is how we do it in my household and we’ve all grown and raised just fine.

Hi Brittany, no judgment, just curious. Did your first baby have any reaction to whole milk when you introduced it at nine months? A friend of mine is having trouble and she has a 1 year old and she’s still on dairy free formula because of it.

@Sophy no actually no reaction he seem to adjust to it just fine. It’s now that he’s four years old and we’ve completely switched to lactose free but that was solely because I have a sensitive stomach and so I switched over so we just switched over as a family and honestly, I noticed that he does a lot better. I don’t feel like it’s bad that your friend‘s kid hasn’t switched to whole milk and is on dairy free. I mean he’s still getting the same nutrients and there’s other things that he could eat to help bring in the nutrients that are lacking if anything if she wants to keep trying, she could just keep trying to replace one couple day with whole milk and see how he does but honestly, I just go with whatever my kid shows me that works for him. I don’t force anything that I can see he doesn’t like or that’s not gonna work from him and that’s just gonna cause him more distress.
