Honestly, I feel this. I have family saying I'll want another one when my 5 month old turns 1, and I'm like, "No, not until hes at least 2" but they give me that look of "i know better and you will but im staying silent for your sake." The only people who ask and need to know are doctors who care for your health.
This makes me cringe. Before we had even gotten pregnant, I was asked by my partner's grandmother all the time when we were gonna have kids. At that point, we hadn't decided if it was something we wanted/ready for, and I told her, if she didn't stop asking, we wouldn't be having any. She turned around and said 'yes you will be.' As if we had no say in the matter. Why do people feel they have a right to dictate what we do and don't do, especially with our own bodies??
Right it’s weird that people ask that immediately. I’ll just shut it down with “when my husband and I decide” as a reminder that they have no part or say so in it.
