Meal refusals

Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with their toddlers refusing meals? It’s become breakfast, dinner and tea, we even let her choose what she would like yet when it comes to eating it, she pushes the plate away and flat out refuses. We’ve tried offering nothing else until she eats but makes no difference, but if we offered snacks instead she would happily snack all day long . We’ve tried a star chart which initially worked but that’s now worn off and I’m stuck 🤯

Just following as we are in exactly the same position!

Following as we are also in the same situation

Hiya, we have gone through a phase where my little boy wouldn’t eat his dinners/ breakfasts. I tried various things, some worked better than others: have the exact same dinner as she is, even on the same plate (my toddler always wants my plate of food and even cutlery 🤦‍♀️ so we just swap); make a ‘snacky dinner’; don’t give snacks too close to meal time (I have cut snacks right out to be honest); tempt her to eat her food - she may get jealous and declares that it’s her food, not yours; let her chose where to sit (high chair and booster seats have vanished in my house as he utterly refuses to sit in either, he likes to sit on daddy’s chair, sometimes mine - sometimes even on my lap) If you offer a snack, let it be a piece of fruit. Just do it one meal at a time; my toddler is now eating again but I won’t place a bet on it on how long this will last 😅🙈

Following as I'm I the same position, he'll only eat snacky foods and prefers to graze all day instead of eating meals unless he's got chicken nuggets, chips, pizza, sweetcorn or beans but can't have him eating that all the time, he'll only eat fruit when he's at nursery, the fight/tantrums to get him to eat proper meals is exhausting 😩 and if he does eat it he'll take like 2 hours to eat it cos he'll eat one bean/ sweetcorn at a time 😂 I spoke to my hv about it and she's gona refer him to someone (can't remember what she said they were called) who can show me tips and stuff to help get him to eat proper meals ect

Our wee man is doing the same thing!! Food he would normally scoff, he now plays with and refuses to eat!

Thanks everyone, we’re still making zero progress but it’s reassuring to know we’re not on our own! Toddler life is not for the weak 🥲

Following! Same exact situation! Sorry for not being helpful here
