How many other peoples babies are still not interested in food?

I know food is for fun before the age of 1 but my little boy is showing no signs of being interested any time soon. He has just turned 7 months. Some days he opens his mouth slightly and has a few mouthfalls and then refuses to open it and other days he point blank refuses to open it at all. I’ve tried to give him finger food as well with more texture and he just spits it all back out again🤷🏻‍♀️ I started weaning him a week before he turned 6 months so we are five weeks into it and had no improvement

Yeah we're nearly 2 months in and he still barely eats anything! He's interested but still spitting most things out

I started offering purées to my girl after 4 months ish. She only really started opening her mouth for them towards being 7 months. Now she’s closer to 8 months. She’s picky with when and when she wants something and doesn’t like anything lumpy or a solid piece of food in her mouth 🫠 I feel she’s going to be on milk and purées for life at this point 🤣🤣 she likes sucking on melty sticks / baby rice cakes / wafers etc though x

I have literally the opposite worry, my baby eats full meals that look like they’re for a toddler and it’s so much more than the guidelines say they should be eating at this age (he’s almost 8 months). He’s perfect weight but I still worry, like wtf how much is he going to eat when he’s a toddler?! Is this even healthy for him 😕 So I’m thinking there’s a whole range of normal and they all just find their way in the end xx
