My little girl has been off with me

My three year old has been pretty off with me for the past 6 weeks since I arrived home from birth. I feel so bad as she’s been unwell with a cold on and off and I haven’t been able to comfort her.. also during my pregnancy I had bad HG was hospitalised a bit so my husband did the looking after, had emergency surgery last week for gallstones and now my 6 week old ended up in hospital with bronchitis There’s just so much going on But I’m also so worried my 3 year old will just distance herself from me - I didn’t have a great relationship with my mum growing up as she always had to work and my dad looked after me - so I guess I’m feeling a bit weird / traumatic if that’s the right word Any advid words or guidance is so appreciated right now ❤️

Ask your partner to keep an eye on the bubba, then speak to your 3 YO and ask if she wants to do a mumma daughter day and she can choose the activities. Give you guys some one on one time & you can speak to her then & let her know that, yes, things have been crazy lately, but you still love her and you want to ensure you spend time with her as well and do things together. Maybe try to offer her a day every month or so, when you guys do something together that the bubba doesn't join (maybe something they can't do because they're too small?)

@Star thanks so much for this as it’s reminded me. I signed her up to ballet taster session which I was going to take her alone on Fridays, but I had my emergency surgery so that interrupted it and then she got ill and now baby is also ill so I will make sure in the new year we start the ballet. Thank you 💞

Aww that's lovely! You can do ballet & go for a snack or a meal after, just the two of you
