Fever advice please
Little one woke up at 1am last night inconsolable. He was so hot, took his temp and it was 39.2.
Took him to the a&e and they gave him calpol and neurophen until it came down a little and discharged him at 37.8. He was still in good spirits though.
However, now we’re home, he’s refusing to eat or drink anything at all. It’s even a nightmare to give him calpol or neurofen… he’s constantly moaning and crying….
Would you take him back? Or when would you take him back?

I wouldn’t have took him to a&e for a temperature, he has likely got a virus. If he stops having wet nappies then take him back as he has a risk of being dehydrated
I'd ring 111 to see what they suggest. If I was you I'd go back to A&E but on Christmas eve it will be an absolute nightmare
