My little one was teething that early. She still is but still yet to have tooth. I didn’t think it was teething till my HV said it was. If he’s 8 weeks old you’ll be able to give him calpol now.
He could be but it would be pretty unlikely at this age. This is the age when they start finding their hands and bringing them to their mouths a lot, and producing a lot more saliva. So it could just be a normal developmental stage rather than teething (mine is doing the exact same)
My baby has been since then. She’s 6 months old on Sunday and still no teeth 😭
@Sarah if your baby has been "teething" for 4 months and still no teeth....sounds like she wasn't teething!
@Charley you do know the babies teeth have to move down into place for the teeth to come through. Babies can teeth for ages without the teeth actually coming through!
@Charley I mean we’ve had her checked out… according to her pediatrician it’s possible…?
@Paige yes I do. But I'm saying these signs are normal at this stage and not necessarily a sign of teething, especially if no sign of teeth after months!
@Sarah possible to have teeth that early, not likely. Sounds like normal developmental behaviour rather than teething if there's still none there after 4 months
My little one has been teething since she was 8 weeks and yet to see a tooth in her mouth and my health visitor was the one who told me she was teething as I just thought it was part of her development. I seen my hv at 8 weeks when she told me then again every week up until she was 12 weeks and she kept mentioning about her teething.
He’s really unsettled so that’s why I do think it is the start of teething. Thank you for the helpful suggestions girls.
@Paige I understand if you've been told it by a HV you're inclined to think so. But I really don't think it is teething, having worked in paediatric dentistry and taking x-rays of children's teeth/jaws I understand how long it takes teeth to come out.
I ain’t going to try and argue over teething🤦🏽♀️ @Chloe you know your baby. You know what’s normal and not normal if he’s irritated and showing symptoms of pain try and give him some calpol to help him.

Textured wash cloth in the freezer. Don’t freeze it, just get it really cold and let him suck on it. Talk to your doc about Tylenol. Lots of natural remedies online too. Check Amazon
