Anyone's baby do this?

My LO is 7 weeks old this Friday. During the day they breastfeed for about 20 to 30 mins, every 2.5 to 3 hours. They don't seem to be getting any quicker at feeding. Between the hours of 9 to 12 pm however they just want to feed non-stop. They can be on the boob for 2 hours at a time. If they fall asleep and I put them down, they wake uo screaming for the boob. I wouldn't mind if it was a calm feed, but they're often screaming into the boob or thrashing about on the nipple. They don't do this at all during the day. Even after such a long feed they'll then want another feed after about 1.5 to 2 hours. Is this normal clusterfeeding? Does anyone else's baby do this?

Totallly normal I think… frustrating I know. My little little boys (4weeks) in the same, evenings are a bit of a write off. My daughter (now 3) was the same and I promise it gets better. Will your lo go longer after cluster feeding?

That's good to know! This is my second baby, but my first I formula fed so I never really experienced the whole cluster feeding. They sometimes go longer after a long feed, but most often they're hungry again 2 to 2.5hrs later 😭

This is really normal. I breasfed by first kid and doing it again. It does get quicker but not just yet. How long they sleep at night also depends of each kid. Mu first bron was sleeping as much as bottle fed babies (so I don't believe the whole bottle fed babies sleep more) hoping this one is the same. The thrashing and pulling and being fuzzy helps with milk production and stimulation (although it is annoying) Also, think that sometimes they ask for the boob even if that's not what they need. Mine does this too wheb he is overtired. So we need to bounce around the room, he may cry really loud for like 2 mins and then calms down.

My little one does this (7 weeks this sunday coming) feeds every 2-3 hours for about 20-30 minutes but has a period of time usually between 4/5pm and 8/9pm where hes constantly on and off and feeds non stop. I was wondering myself if this was normal as i formula fed my first born so new to breastfeeding, ive given up trying to eat food without him attached to me in the evenings now x
