Breastfeeding

I’ve heard drinking beer while breastfeeding helps boost your milk is it true? If so which one should I drink?

That’s actually a myth regarding yeast in beer. But by all means give it a try and enjoy a drink!

I heard it was dark beers but idk

Guinness. Disgusting but it helps

I have noticed that after I have had a beer my milk seems to be more productive! I usually drink a boring domestic beer (coors, miller, etc).

I tried this with nonalcoholic and it did seem to help at the beginning. Can’t say I was consistent enough though

You’d do better with the sein called Malta. Malta is made out of barley and some beers are as well. It’s the barley that helps boost supply. But if you’re really want to increase supply, supplements won’t be enough if you aren’t sleeping enough, hydrating enough and nursing as much as possible

Even a glass of red wine helps sometimes. My LC says It relaxes the smooth muscles.

@Sarah I heard that too

Non alcoholic can!

Theirs plenty of non alcoholics ways to boost your supply if that's what you need. Beer helps due to the yeast in it which stimulates your production but theirs plenty of other ways to do it .

@Fliss - Zaza very true. I tried the non alc Guinness but I also tried oats, flaxseeds, brewers yeast (the whole thing that works in beer) and loads of electrolytes with vit b 12&6.
